In the year 2033, the world has turned into a rubble after a nuclear war, and the human race is on the brink of extinction, with cities becoming uninhabitable due to radiation. A few thousand survivors take refuge underground in the Moscow Metro, the largest nuclear shelter on the planet. This becomes humanity's last stronghold.
The biggest threat to those living underground is the Dark Ones. The stations have been divided into mini-states based on ideals, religions, and access to clean water. Emotions have been replaced by instincts, and the sole purpose now is to survive at any cost.
